Furnware's research showed that regular under-desk storage has serious flaws. The height relationship between desk and chair is critical for correct seating, and the depth used for storage interferes with that.

So Furnware explored alternative systems. Many schools used other types of under desk storage already, so that was helpful. By examining practices in numerous classrooms we have brought together the best ideas.

The result is a range of options to complement various teaching styles whilst improving the learning environment for students. Some come at no cost, others enhance existing spaces in the room. Increased surface areas (always needed!) and added security without demanding more space are real features. And being modular, the systems provide flexibility, even where the teacher likes to change the classroom configuration on a regular basis.
